Legacy Challenge
Description
On September 26th we will host our annual Pennington Blue Jay Legacy Challenge Run. This event includes a 2.5-mile race and a 1-mile fun run/walk. The goal of this race is to raise money for a scholarship fund created in honor of Officer Philip Michael Pennington, who our school was named after in September 2000. Officer Pennington was shot and killed while serving our community as a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics, or SWAT Team. Our school strives to uphold his character through our high standards and character education. His memory lives through our students as they strive for excellence in education.
Packet Pick Up
Packet Pick Up will be held on Friday, October 18th from 4pm-5:30pm at the school.

Awards
Participants in the mile race will receive a ribbon and lei!
Participants in the 2.5 mile race will receive a medal for their efforts and completion of the race.
Participants who register and run both events will receive a special 5K challenge medal!
Awards will be given to the overall male and female for both races.
Awards will also be given to the top male and female finisher in the following age groups in the 2.5 Mile Race:
8 & Under
10-13
14-18
19-24
25 and older
Awards will also be given to the 1st and 2nd place male and female finisher in each grade (1st-8th) in the 1 Mile Race.
