All Central Virginia 9th - 12th grade throwers and coaches, get ready to elevate your game! We are thrilled to announce the inaugural FREE Central Virginia Shot Put & Discus Throws Clinic. Whether you are a beginner looking to grasp the fundamentals or an experienced athlete chasing a new personal best, this completely free clinic is designed to help you master your craft, build explosive power, and unlock your true potential in the circle.
As Henry David Thoreau once said, "What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals." This day is all about who you will become as an athlete and a competitor!

This clinic is a jam-packed, comprehensive day of hands-on learning led by some of the finest throws minds in the region. We will dive deep into everything from dynamic flexibility and general power position principles to the highly technical mechanics of the glide, the spin, and the discus release.
You’ll get an elite breakdown of the sport, actionable drills you can take home for the season, an open-throws session with real-time feedback, and an exclusive presentation from =PR= Run & Walk to make sure you are properly equipped for success!

Meet Your Presenters
Taylor Frenia
Throws Coach, Christopher Newport University
One of the most accomplished throwers in William & Mary history, Taylor Frenia joined the Christopher Newport Track & Field coaching staff in 2017.
Dominant during his time with the Tribe, Frenia graduated as the program's all-time record-holder in three events. He established a new school standard in the discus (58.70
meters) as well as the indoor and outdoor shot put (18.31 meters and 18.35 meters, respectively).
Equally accomplished on the conference level, Frenia tied the all-time Colonial Athletic Association record with seven individual titles during his career. Capping off his tenure with a memorable performance, he became the first league member to sweep the shot put, discus, and hammer at the outdoor championships since 1992. For that performance, he was named the CAA Field Athlete of the Meet and the Men's Track & Field Co-Athlete of the
Year.
Coaching Highlights since starting at CNU in 2017 include:
• 4 All Americans with combined 7 All American Performances
• His athletes combined for 44 Individual Conference Titles
• 7 of the 10 Throws Records at CNU have fallen since 2017, some multiple times.
• Over half of the top 10 performances in program history are athletes coached by Taylor
Allen D. Bayuk
Teacher/Coach, Manchester High School
CoachBThrows Championship Shot Put and Discus Training
Coach Bayuk is an experienced Coach and Educator at Manchester High School in Chesterfield County, VA.
For the past 30 years he has worked with numerous schools and hundreds of high school athletes and coaches in Virginia. He has been twice named VHSCA Assistant Coach of the Year
(2006 and 2010).
Coaching highlights since 2004 include:
• 15 VHSL (5) and VISAA (10) State Champions in the Shot Put and Discus • Dozens of Conference, District and Region Champions and place winners at all levels
Many have gone on to successful College Track & Field Throwing careers.
Coach Bayuk is excited to offer Coaching and Consulting services to student athletes, small groups, teams and coaches starting in the 2026-27 school year.
Coach Bayuk utilizes a “Sameness Equals Soundness” throws progression and concepts in his teachings.
