Cancellation of 5k for K9's due to COVID-19
Dear runners, sponsors and supporters,
Following the recommendations from the Virginia Department of Health, the recommendations of the Governor, and due to the increasing burden on the Richmond Police Department as the current situation continues to develop in response to the COVID-19 virus, the Friends of Richmond K-9 is moving forward to cancel the Annual Harry Pherson Memorial 5k for k9's.
We know how much the Richmond community loves this event, and supports the Richmond Police Department K-9 unit! Although we have a non-refundable registration fee, we are happy to mail you your race t-shirt. Runners who have signed up, please contact friendsofrichmondk9@gmail.com with your mailing address and preferred t-shirt size.
We would love to say thank you to each of you who signed up for the run and your continued support Friends of Richmond K-9, if you go for a run or run a 5k on your own and decide to do a 5k, we would love to see your post run/5k face! Tag us in your post #FORK95k or #runforFORK9 so we can feature you on our social media and thank you personally for your support.
We appreciate everyone's support and understanding. As a reminder to stay safe and healthy, wash your hands frequently, do not shake hands, or touch your face, and stay home if possible to reduce your chance or exposure.
