Richmond Road Runners Club dedicates this annual 5K race to the memory of Dr. Peter Still. Peter was a scholar, gentleman, runner, and a friend to many. The proceeds of this race benefit the Richmond Road Runners Club Scholarship Fund. Each year the club has awarded $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. The scholarship is awarded to individuals who have and will represent the beneficial aspects of running as a healthy lifestyle. The recipients of the 2018 scholarships will be announced at the conclusion of the Pony Pasture 5K.
The Pony Pasture 5K is a RRRC Championship Event for the 2018 Grand Prix Competition Year. The first male and first female RRRC member in one of four division will be awarded the designation of Club Champion for the contested distance for the year. The divisions are: Open Division (any age), Masters Division (40-49 on race day), and Veterans Division (age 50 and over on race day).
There is limited parking in the Pony Pasture parking lot. Please consider parking at the Stratford Hills Shopping Center on Forest Hill Road. Vans will shuttle you to and from the park.
It is a flat and fast, out and back 5K (3.1 mile) course on Riverside Drive along the James River. The race starts and ends at the Pony Pasture Rapids Park's parking lot located on the south bank of the James River.

This is a road race conducted under the rules of USATF and RRCA. In consideration of the safety of all participants, the following are not allowed on the course during the race: animals, skateboards, inline or roller skates, and bicycles. The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, RRRC encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of the Pony Pasture 5K.
A runner may push a child in a running/jogging stroller during the Pony Pasture 5K. You must start the race at the back of the starting corral and must yield to runners during the race.

All entry fees and processing fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, no exceptions. Registrations cannot be deferred to a later race. Bib numbers are not transferrable. In the event of postponements or cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, there will be no refunds.
Runners must be 6 years old or older to participate in the 5K road race.
Short sleeve race shirts are guaranteed to runners who register before Thursday, July 12 at 11:59 PM. We cannot guarantee the size or style on t-shirts, but we will make every effort to meet you selection request.
Runners who register after July 12 will be able to select a shirt size during registration until the supply is gone. Size options may be limited. You may be able to exchange your shirt for an unclaimed race shirt of a different size after the conclusion of the race, while the supply of different size shirts lasts.
A runner who is unable to select a shirt during registration will not get a shirt at packet pick up. You may be able to get an unclaimed race shirt after the conclusion of the race, while the supply of different size shirts lasts.
Race packet (bib number and race shirt) pick up will be Friday, July 27, from 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM at New Balance Richmond in the Short Pump Station shopping center, 11341 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
Packet pick up on race morning begins at about 6:15 AM.
