Events

President

The President presides over meetings, represents the Club before the Road Runners Club of America, Inc. ("RRCA"), calls special meetings and appoints committee chairpersons.

Vice President - Operations

The Vice President - Operations assumes the duties and powers of the president in the president's absence, performs special assignments as requested by the president, manages the club's race calendar and serves as contract race coordinator.

Vice President - Communications

The Vice President - Communications develops and coordinates the club's communication, marketing, promotion and merchandising efforts.

Secretary

The Secretary records the minutes of meetings, handles correspondences as requested by the president and keeps records of such minutes and correspondence.

Treasurer

The Treasurer administers all financial duties, signs checks and makes disbursements for expenditures approved by the Board of Directors, presents a budget pursuant to the By-Laws, prepares financial reports requested by the president and prepares or assists in the preparation of all necessary tax filings.

Director

A Director is a member of Board of Directors, who is not an officer. The Board of Directors consists of the five officers and at least five but not more than twenty additional elected Club members who hold no other Club office. The Board of Directors manages the affairs of the Club and establishes its policies and procedures.

Description

2017 is an election year for leadership of the Richmond Road Runners Club (RRRC).

The RRRC Nominating Committee presented a slate of candidates at the October meeting, but you can still be nominated from the floor at the November meeting. 
 
Use "Sign Up" to indicate your interest in being nominated from the floor as a candidate for one or more elected positions.

 

All candidates for office must be current members and must have demonstrated interest in the Club by having volunteered at a Club event and attended at least one regular Club meeting in the election year. Officers and directors may succeed themselves. 

Elections will occur at the Club meeting on December 13, 2017. The term of office for officers and directors will be two years, beginning December 14, 2017. Officers and directors are expected to attend club meetings.
