The Dominion Payroll SpeakUp5k is our flagship community event and the biggest celebration of mental health. The SpeakUp5k is Cameron's design. Full of fun zones, music, bubbles, and loads of inspiration- it is more than a race. It is an experience. This year the SpeakUp5k turns 10, join us as we “SpeakUp” for teen mental health.
Date: Saturday, September 9 at 9:00am
Location: Byrd Park (1001 Blanton Avenue)
Parking: Please use the Dogwood Dell lot located next to The Carillon. If possible, carpool with members of your family and/or team! We recommend arriving early.
Race Start: 9:00am, please arrive early to line up at the starting line. You won't want to miss the opening remarks.
Bag Check: Secure your belongings and enjoy the race without worry! Bag check will open at 8:00am.
Team Meet Up Areas: Look for the balloons when you arrive. You can meet up with your team in areas designated by your team name. Example: Team 'SpeakUp for teen mental health' will meet in the team area labeled Team Name starting with S-Z. If you need assistance please stop by the Information Tent!
Starting Corrals: Participants will line up by mile pace, volunteers will be holding up signs with mile pace at the start area. Walkers and walkers pushing baby strollers please look for the 'Walkers' signs.
Post Race Party Area: Enjoy snacks, water, music, vendors and more!
Pets: Please leave your furry friends at home for the morning! No dogs are allowed in Byrd Park or Maymont, and for the safety of our runners/walkers no dogs are allowed on the course.

Near or far, CKG hopes you will join us on September 9th to SpeakUp for teen mental health. The virtual run can be completed individually or with a group. Simply select "Virtual Run" during registration. A participant bag will be mailed to participants 25 miles or more outside of the Richmond area. Participants who are local to Richmond and choose to participate virtually can pick up packets during our designated Packet Pickup days, dates/times TBD.
Grab your family, friends, co-workers, and find your own 3.1 mile route in your neighborhood or local park. Together we will erase the stigma and SpeakUp for teen mental health!
