The Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger is RVA’s favorite spring tradition! Since 2000, people from around the Richmond region and beyond have gathered to share in the journey of crossing the 10k finish line. The 10k is a day about togetherness and we look forward to bringing the community together again for the 26th running of the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k. Walk with your family, reunite with your running buddies, or cross the finish line in costume...just don't miss it because it’s going to be the BIGGEST block party ever!

20k Challenge
The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger is so nice you’ll want to do it twice…& now you can! Commit to the 20k Challenge & run or walk your first leg virtually from April 5 to 12, before celebrating all together on event day, Saturday, April 12. Not only will you conquer a combined 12.4 miles, but you’ll receive a special Challenge medal & a unique finisher item! Two medals in one week?!?
Atlantic Union Bank 10k Mini 1-Mile Kids Run
Race day isn't just for you...it's for your kids too! This one-mile run for kids 4-12 is sure to be the best intro to how fun running can be. Add some mascots, a shirt, & finisher medal & you've got the perfect Saturday! Make the #ukrops10k a family affair!
YMCA 10k Training Team
Whether you are excited to jumpstart your fitness journey or you are ready to up your game, the YMCA 10k Training Team is for you! You will train with motivational coaches & teammates every Saturday morning at one of several locations throughout the RVA Region. Our team of amazing coaches will be with you every step of the way to the finish line on April 12. Camaraderie, accountability, fun & so much more awaits (starts Feb 1)!
Virtual 10k
Don’t let anything stand in the way of you being a part of one of the nation’s most popular events. Can't join in person, you can still be part of the 10k. Run or walk 6.2 miles on your own from April 5-12, submit your results, & earn swag! Participant & finisher items will be mailed.
Sports Backers’ mission is to inspire people to live actively. Since 1991, Sports Backers has fostered a culture of active living in Central Virginia through its participatory sporting events and community-based programs that have inspired hundreds of thousands of people in the region to set fitness goals and pursue an active lifestyle. In everything that we do, we strive to promote health equity and create accessible opportunities for active living throughout our region.
We fulfill our mission by: (1) advocating for bike and pedestrian infrastructure; (2) energizing the community through events; and (3) building a network of community-led group fitness programs in schools and neighborhoods. Sports Backers invests in the future of active living in our region through our youth programs – Kids On The Move and the Active Living Leadership ALL Stars. From the youngest kids getting an opportunity to be a part of a running or fitness club, reaping the socio-emotional benefits while moving more, to those on their way to adulthood and applying to college, Sports Backers is passionate about supporting Richmond region youth. Your donation makes it possible for us to support the most important part of our community – our kids. They are the future and we know that by investing in them and instilling healthy habits now, it benefits us all.
Cancellation Policy
Entry fees are non-refundable, even in the case of a race cancellation, postponement, event format changes, and/or if you are unable to participate. Race numbers and entries cannot be transferred to another person. No exceptions. This means once we have received your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate, and you may not give or sell your number or timing chip to anyone else. Anyone found participating with another person’s number will be disqualified and both people will be barred from future Sports Backers events.
Deferrals
You may defer your registration from the 2025 Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k to the 2026 event. Deferred registrations may not be transferred to another person. Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances. The cost to defer is $15 and the deadline is March 18. Deferrals may be used only for the 2026 event. You may only defer an entry once (i.e., if you deferred your 2025 entry to 2026, you will not be able to defer it again in 2026 to 2027. There will be no deferrals at the race expo. Prohibited On Course
Animals, Strollers, Joggers, Baby Carries, Wagons, Bicycles, Handcycles, Skateboards, Skates, Scooters, etc. will not be allowed on course.
Event Rules
- This race is conducted under the rules of USATF and the Road Runners Club of America.
- In consideration of the safety of all participants, IN-LINE SKATES, SKATEBOARDS, BICYCLES, HANDCYCLES, OR ANIMALS will not be allowed on the course.
- Strollers, Baby Joggers, Baby Carriers are not allowed on the course.
- Once received, entries are non-refundable. Entries may not be transferred or given to another person. See above for additional policies.
- The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k has a minimum age of 6. The Atlantic Union Bank 10k Mini has a minimum age of 4.
