Breathe n Run - Honoring Kavita Chandiramani and Combating Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Lyla and Sanya Chandiramani invite you to the inaugural Breathe n Run fun run/walk on August 3rd, 2024 at 8:00 am to raise awareness for pulmonary fibrosis (PF). This disease is the scarring of the lung tissue, leading to reduced lung function and breathlessness. Kavita Chandiramani, our beloved grandmother, lost her life to PF, inspiring us to organize "Breathe n Run." This event is open to all and serves as a platform to bring together individuals from all walks of life, united by their determination to make a difference. The race highlights the importance of breath and the beauty of life, creating a memorable experience and reminding runners to appreciate the gift of each breath and the freedom it brings.

Breathe n Run promotes physical fitness and aims to educate the community about the impact of pulmonary fibrosis. Pulmonary fibrosis is a deadly and complex disease that affects over 250,000 Americans annually. With every stride taken during the Breathe n Run, we all carry the torch of hope, spreading awareness and contributing to the search for a cure for pulmonary fibrosis. Our collective effort reflects a commitment to ensuring that no other family has to endure the pain caused by this disease and that every breath taken is cherished and celebrated.

With your help, we can reach our goal of a $12,000 donation to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.  Race tickets cost $35 till July 17th and $45 after. All donations are welcome!! 

Please join us at FishTails (2809 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451) for a post-race party to mingle. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, from which part of the sales proceeds will be donated to the foundation.
