• T-shirts are only guaranteed until those who register before March 14th. Once the deadline passes, T-shirts will be limited based on inventory. If you do not get a choice to select a shirt, no shirts remain.

• Registration will be open until 7 AM on Race Day

The Valor 5K & Kids' Mile takes place ON the runway of the Winchester Regional Airport. The course is flat and fast!

Our Story

The Valor 5K, formerly known as the Trooper Manion Memorial 5K & Kids Mile, is a 5K run dedicated to honoring all public safety and military personnel. Across our great country, countless individuals demonstrate the true meaning of valor every day — police officers, firefighters, military members, and many others who serve their communities with courage and selflessness.

We wanted to build on what began with the Trooper Manion Memorial 5K & Kids Mile by expanding the vision to recognize all those who serve and sacrifice. Most of us know someone who has served, or is currently serving, in law enforcement, fire and rescue, or our armed forces. These men and women are a special breed, placing service above self and stepping forward in moments when others cannot.

This event is dedicated to all who have served, or continue to serve. It’s often said, “In Valor, There is Hope,” and no words ring truer when speaking about our first responders, military members, and the hope they represent for those facing times of hardship, tragedy, and crisis.

A memorial slideshow will be set up at packet pickup, allowing local law enforcement agencies, fire & rescue departments, and military personnel to honor those who have fallen in the line of duty or left their profession too soon.
