Union Bank Field House Fall Half Marathon & 5k/10k

This race will be limited to 3-1/2 hours. The race will end at 11:30 AM regardless of distance. If you are out on the course after the time limit has passed, you will be running at your own risk because police officers and other staff/volunteers may not be available on the course. Half Marathon

Race bibs and t-shirts will be available at Fleet Feet, 77 Pearl Street, Essex Junction, Vermont on Friday, October 24th from noon to 6 pm for those who would like to pick up their packet early. You are welcome to pick up a friend's race packet as long as they've already signed the waiver. Racers will receive a 15% in-store discount when picking up their race packets. Those who pick up their packets on Friday do not need to check in on race day, but they should arrive 20 minutes prior to race start to be sure to hear pre-race announcements.  Note: If you are entering the address into your mapping app for PRE-RACE pickup, be sure to use Essex Junction, VT; NOT Essex, VT.

Race-day check in will be held on Saturday, October 25th at Shelburne Field House from 7:00 - 7:50 am for half marathon runners and 8:00 - 8:45 am for 5K and 10K runners.

Due to the high volume of cars expected, there is no parking at Shelburne Field House for this event. Please park at one of these nearby locations:

1. Shelburne Community School, 345 Harbor Road
2. Shelburne Train Station, 71 Harbor Road
3. Shelburne Town Hall, 5420 Shelburne Road
4. Davis Park
5. Shelburne Shopping Park (off Falls Road)

None of these locations are far from Shelburne Field House. You are welcome to bring a bag to leave behind at the Field House; however, no one is assigned to watch these bags, so you will be leaving them at our own risk.

There will be water stations at 3 locations along the course. They will be located at:

• On Depot Road off Harbor Road (mile 2.6 and 5 of the half marathon)
• At the 10K turnaround (at mile 3.1)
• At the intersection of the Shelburne Rec Path and Harbor Road (at approximately mile 10.6 of the half marathon)

Plain water and UnTapped Mapleaid Hydration will be available in cups at the water stations. Volunteers will be filling cups and placing them on a table. They will not be handing out the water. For your protection, and that of our volunteers, we recommend that you travel with your own water; however, water and electrolyte will be available to anyone who wants it.

In addition to the start/finish, portable toilets will be located at the Depot Road water station and just before the 10K turnaround.

Other Race Rules

• Racevermont.com is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please do not leave your valuables unattended.
• Please be on time and arrive no later than 20 minutes prior to race start to hear our race director's pre-race announcements.
• The use of personal music devices is HIGHLY DISCOURAGED but permitted. If you do decide to use your music device, please keep your volume low so you can hear traffic coming your way and our volunteers and/or timing team should they need to get your attention.
• Racevermont.com no longer allows baby joggers. We apologize for the inconvenience, but given that this race is run on roads that will not be closed to traffic, we do not want to jeopardize the safety of our runners, their children, or drivers. We appreciate your understanding.
• Racers must be courteous to other racers, volunteers, race officials, and spectators at ALL times. Unsportsmanlike behavior will result in disqualification.
• You will be running against traffic.
• Do not run more than 2 abreast.
• Race numbers must be visible at all times, but especially when approaching the start/finish line. This is especially important for accurate race results as well as photo IDs.
• NO BANDITS ALLOWED!

Award Ceremony Time

10:30 am -  Awards ceremony for 5k/10k and Half Marathon followed by raffle.

Post Race Raffle

Prizes for a post race raffle have been generously donated by our race sponsors.

We are pleased to have SkiPix photographing this event. Participants will receive a link to the photos directly from SkiPix following the event. Don't forget to smile when you see the photographer!

Should this race get cancelled due to extreme weather or by order of the governor or other government official, you will have the option to either defer your registration to next year's race or transfer to another Racevermont.com race of equal or lesser value . We do not offer refunds for unattended races regardless of who cancels the race, and transfers/deferrals will only be offered in the event that this race is cancelled.
