Our run starts at 9 am on Saturday, Nov. 14 and consists of three Hampton Park loops (Mary Murray Dr.) plus the finish. We start and finish in the north side of the park, near the Rose Pavilion and the Hampton Park public toilets.
We ask that all runners and walkers arrive by 8:30 AM for our opening ceremony and to honor our veterans. If you would like to warm up or run extra laps, please do so before or after the ceremony.
Our event is NOT timed, but we hope to have a time clock at the finish line so participants can note their finish times. Of course, you are welcome to time yourself using your watch or phone and share on Garmin, Strava, or Social Media!
Parking
HAMPTON PARK IS CLOSED TO TRAFFIC FROM 8 AM TO NOON. If you park inside Hampton Park before it closes at 8, you will not be able to get your car out of Hampton Park until it reopens at noon.
Public parking is located outside of the park. Please comply with all signs and laws, and do not park on the grass or block driveways. We also encourage carpooling, biking, or walking if you live nearby.
Stay Aware
During our run, bicyclists may use the park and cycle at at high speeds. The road is divided into three lanes- an innermost narrow lane for faster, competitive runners, a narrow middle lane marked for cyclists, and the outer wide lane for walkers, joggers, runners, and runners.
STAY OUT OF THE BIKE LANE! A collision with a bicyclist could be painful for all involved!
