Rules for the Victory 5K

All participants in the Victory 5K agree to abide by the following rules:

  • Per USATF sanctioning no animals are allowed.
  • Per USATF sanctioning all participants must have completed a registration and signed the waiver.
  • Refunds or transfers are not permitted at this time.
  • Team names are to be appropriate for the event and family friendly.  The Victory 5K Committee reserves the right to delete any team names deemed inappropriate by a majority vote.
  • All participants must be wearing bottom and top clothing that appropriately covers undergarments and private areas.  Active gear/tanktops are allowed.
  • No participants can be barefoot.  
  • Overall first through third place awards for male and female participants will be awarded based on gun time.
  • Age category award winners will be determined based on chip time.
  • Weather Delays
    • The Victory 5K Commitee will postpone the competition up to 1 hr due to incliment weather that meets the following criteria.  Any threatening weather conditions that persist longer than the 1 hr will result in cancellation.    
      • a lightening strike has been observed within 10 miles and within 30 minutes prior to the start of the event
      • 3+ inches of snow that is unclearable by the city of Hibbing by the start of the event
      • heavy rain or snow is forecasted to clear/lighten
      • cold conditions resulting in a -4 degrees F or greater wind chill
      • Air Quality Index of 200 or greater

    • Any official notification on weather delays will be sent to participants and volunteers via the runsignup.com email system and announced over the PA system at the event.

Rules for the Kids Fun Run

All participants in the Kids Fun Run agree to abide by the following rules:

  • No animals are allowed.
  • Refunds or transfers are not permitted at this time.
  • All participants must be wearing bottom and top clothing that appropriately covers undergarments and private areas.  Active gear/tanktops are allowed.
  • No participants can be barefoot.
  • All participants acknowledge the inhert risks in running in the Kids Fun Run and will not hold the Victory 5k and Victory Christian Academy liable for any injuries sustained while participating in the event.
