The Volksläufe takes place in Frankenmuth. The start and finish lines are located in Heritage Park.

Please note that pricing may increase, and availability of shirts and medals is not guaranteed.
Yes. Someone else may pick up your packet on your behalf.
We recommend that they have your name and confirmation details available to ensure a smooth pickup process.
Free parking is available near Heritage Park and throughout downtown Frankenmuth. Please allow extra time to walk to the start line.
No. There will not be a gear check or designated area to store personal items.
Participants are encouraged to plan accordingly and leave valuables at home or in their vehicle.
Yes. Restrooms are available at the Harvey Kern Pavilion, which includes multiple stalled bathrooms.
In addition, porta potties will be placed at various points along the course for participant convenience.
Yes. Hydration stations will be available along the course.
Yes. The Half Marathon has a course time limit of 3.5 hours, which equals an average pace of approximately 16 minutes per mile.
Participants who are unable to maintain this pace may be asked to move to the sidewalks as roads reopen to traffic. This helps ensure a safe and well-supported experience for all runners.
There are no official time limits for the other race distances.
Strollers are allowed. Participants with strollers are asked to start toward the back for safety.
Dogs are not officially permitted. However, they are not strictly prohibited. All dogs must be leashed, and participants assume full responsibility.
Yes. Participants are allowed to wear headphones or earbuds during the race.
For safety, we strongly encourage runners to keep volume at a level where they can remain aware of their surroundings, including course volunteers, other participants, and any announcements.
All standard registrations include a technical race shirt and finisher medal.
Participants who select the economy option do not receive a shirt or medal. If you change your mind, shirts and medals may be available for purchase at the race store while supplies last.
Yes. Awards are given for:
- Overall male and female finishers in each race
- Age group winners
- Masters division winners
The 2K Fun Run does not include awards.
Yes. Volksläufe Eve takes place on Friday, July 3 and is a full evening of community celebration.
From 5:00 PM until the fireworks begin around 10:00 PM, attendees can enjoy:
- Live entertainment
- Food vendors
- A community marketplace
- Family-friendly activities and music
The evening concludes with the Frankenmuth fireworks display.
Yes. After crossing the finish line on July 4, participants and spectators are encouraged to stay for post-race festivities, including food, music, and a continued community celebration.
The Volksläufe is a community tradition that brings together runners, families, friends, sponsors, and volunteers. Every registration directly supports local impact and helps continue that tradition.
The race is held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, updates will be communicated through official channels.
Proceeds support the Frankenmuth Jaycees and their community initiatives, including funding the July 3 fireworks display and supporting charitable efforts throughout the year.
