Details

Come to the Washington pool and help set up part of the course. This includes light, moderate and/or heavy physical exertion. That means set up the tables, tent, chairs, orange cones and ribbons on the route. Prepare food and water for our racers and volunteers.

Transition High Priority

The "heartbeat" of the race course is in transition. You will help all the participants find their way to their gear after the swim and bike and get them off in the right direction. It can be very busy in transition, so communication skills are a must. It definitely involves some "traffic control!"

Swim Pool Deck High Priority

You will help out on the pool deck with all aspects of the swim. Helping kids in and out, counting laps and ensuring the safety of the kids in the pool. You don't need lifeguard experience.

The run course is on the Columbia Swim Center field . You will help kids follow the ribbons and signs and ensure the safety of the participants as they make their way on the sidewalk and into the finish chute. It also entails a little "traffic control" of parents and adoring fans.

When it is all said and done, and we have to say good-bye to our great event until next time, we need volunteers to help tear down the start,finish line area, course. Duties include taking down signs, moving stalls, cleaning trash from the surrounding area. Standing, bending, lifting 25-50 lbs, getting dirty are all required.

If you are a certified lifeguard, please sign up to help on the pool deck. MUST BE A CERTIFIED LIFEGUARD. Certified Lifeguards get a small stipend.
