SET-UP AND WATER TABLE High Priority

You must be 14 or older to volunteer for this task.

This volunteer task is full.

Details

1. Assemble Pop-up tents, folding tables, chairs according to site plan
2. Hang signage (pop-up tents, tables, route, start/finish line, etc.)
3. Unload water, food and set-up table
4. Set up information/First Aid table with DASH materials, first aid kit
5. Set up Bag drop table
6. Assist staff member in pouring and handing out water cups as runners run by
7. Picking up any water cups left behind

Metropolitan Branch Trail (680 Rhode Island Ave, NE Washington, DC, 20002)

Unfortunately metro is not accessible until 7AM on weekends. However volunteers are able to drive to the trail and leave their car in designated lot.

ROUTE MARSHAL High Priority

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

1. Assigned in pairs along the route to cheer participants, direct participants to turn around, monitor last runner
2. Provide updates to race director on status of race, injuries, etc.

Unfortunately metro is not accessible until 7AM on weekends. However volunteers are able to drive to the trail and leave their car in designated lot.

INFORMATION/FIRST AID/BAG DROP Medium Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

1. Place items in bags and mark with Bib#. File numerically in bins.
2.Provide First Aid (must be First Aid/CPR certified)
3. Distribute information on DASH (press release for any media, etc.)
4. Answer general questions

CLEAN-UP High Priority

You must be 14 or older to volunteer for this task.

1. Breakdown tents, tables, chairs and stack per rental company instructions
2. Box remaining registration items (race packets, t-shirts, etc.)
3. Remove Signage
4. Scour area for trash
