Details

Job Duties – Fill water cups, hand water to runners, pick up trash.
Skills – Able to walk and stand for a 1.5 hour PM shift. Someone may have to lift cases/jugs of water.

Start and Finish Line Assistants High Priority

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Job Duties:
– Assist race timer in setup and take down of timing equipment
– Move runners/walkers to the start line. Help keep walkers, strollers at the rear of the pack.
Skills – Loud clear voice, outgoing personality. No lifting. Able to walk and stand for about a 2 hour shift.

Adult Course Workers High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Job Duties- Direct runners and walkers keeping them on course using voice and hand signals.
Skills – Loud clear voice, outgoing personality. No lifting. Able to walk and stand for a 2 hour shift.
Supervisor - Race Director

Stationed along 5k course at corners.

Race day admin, registration & check-in

Cashier High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Collect Money from race day registrants, make change if needed.
Make sure that registration form is filled out completely and correctly.

Bad weather: Foyer of BHS gym

Job Duties:
- Check in registrants.
- Route registrants that still need to pay to cashier
- Hand out bibs, shirts, instructions to registrants that have paid
- Record that participant has checked in.

Welcome/Help Desk Medium Priority

Job Duties:
Assist Race Director, fielding unanticipated questions, facilitating focus of registration and cashier volunteers

Assistant to Race Timer High Priority

Details

Work closely with professional race timer
- Be their second pairs of arms and eyes during the race.
- Assist in compilation of race results priop to awards ceremony
Knowledge of race timing a plus
Familiarity with BHS student body also a plus

Refreshments and Concession Stand High Priority

Job Duties:
Set up and restock free refreshments - fruit, water, etc.
Operate paid concessions
Clean up area after race
Skills - Some lifting required, 5 gallon water jugs, boxes of fruit, garbage bags. Able to walk and stand for a 1.5 hour PM shift.

Clean-up

Post Race Clean-up High Priority

Details

WE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP AFTER THE RACE. WE WILL NOT BE RELYING ON SCHOOL CUSTODIAL STAFF.
Job Duties:
- Help clean concessions area, stadium, and foyer of gym
- Check stands, track, gym, and sidewalks for trash
