• One special Course Marshals is called the “race-rabbit”

o Leading the front runner(s) along the correct course
o Setting a safe, steady pace that keeps the leaders on track without influencing competition
o Alerting volunteers and spectators that the leaders are approaching
o Clearing the path so runners don’t encounter obstacles or confused bystanders
o Communicating with race officials if issues arise on the course
o They are not pacing athletes to a target time — they are ensuring the race flows smoothly and safely.

• “Great job!”
