Help us set up for the race the evening before the big event.

Race set up will be from 5:00 - 8:00pm.

Pre-Race day tasks include (but not limited to):

*stuffing goody bags
*organizing t-shirts
*setting up tables for registration area
*filling water coolers
*organizing supplies needed for race day
*making and hanging signage
*minmal decorating (balloons)

This job may involve lifting of tables up to 20lbs.

Location

All volunteers should come to the gym at Avondale Elementary School. Park in the parking lot off of Lakeshore Drive. The gym is a separate building at the end of the parking lot.

Race Day Organization High Priority

Details

Volunteers will be needed for:
route set up
water station set up (requires lifting up to 50 pounds)
registration
route directions
enthusiasm activators (cheer along the route)
water stations
race clean up

Race registration opens at 7:00am.

Coffee, juice, and donuts will be provided.

Specific tasks will be assigned upon arrival. If you have a camp or other type of light weight, portable chair, please bring it in the event that you are stationed along the route and have to stand for a long time.

Location

All volunteers should come to the gym at Avondale Elementary School to sign in and to receive their assignment/location during the race.

Free parking is provided at First Baptist Church Avondale Estates at 47 Covington Hwy, Avondale Estates, GA 30002. The parking lot is located at the corner of Covington Highway and Stratford Drive. Avondale Elementary School is next door to the church. Use the same address for GPS directions. The parking lots around the school will be closed to vehicles.

The nearest MARTA stops to Avondale Elementary are Avondale and Kensington on the Blue Line going east towards Indian Creek station. Please note that you will to walk about 1.3 miles from the Avondale station and 0.8 miles from the Kensington station.
