The AES 5K & One Mile, formerly the AES Runs the World 5K, is a signature fundraising event for the Avondale Elementary School Education Foundation (AESEF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The mission of AESEF is to develop resources that remove barriers and create opportunities for student achievement at Avondale Elementary School (AES). We envision that every child at AES has the resources to thrive and apply all profits from the race to support AES students and teachers by supporting STEM (science, technology, engineering, and technology) programming, outdoor education, professional development, etc.
