Volunteers will be responsible for setting up the course with cones, mile markers, directional signs, and dropping off water station materials. You will then follow the last participant on course picking up all of the materials and trash along the route.

Volunteers will help set up the start and finish line structures, place barricades, and put out all necessary signage. After the last person starts & finishes the race, you will then break down everything you helped put up and bring materials to the equipment manager or place by NOTC truck. Venue Set Up & Break Down Medium Priority

Volunteers will help set up tents, tables, chairs, signage, and everything else needed throughout the venue area. Water Stations

Water Station on Course Medium Priority

Details

Make sure to check in at the volunteer tent upon arrival.

Volunteers will be responsible for pouring water into cups, handing it out to the participants, replenishing empty cups as needed and cleaning up the area once finished. You will be provided with two tables, 5-gallon water jugs, cups, gloves, garbage bags, a rake, and receptacles. A course official, who follows behind the last participant, will let the water station know their task has been completed. Make sure to check in at the volunteer tent upon arrival.

On top the levee right before the course turns left into the swamp.

Water Station - Start/Finish Line High Priority

May need to lift up to 5-gallon jugs of water.

Volunteers will be filling up cups of water prior to the race for participants near the start line. After the race starts this will become the finish water stop. Once the race is completed, please empty any remaining filled cups, and clean up any necessary trash.

Registration & Check-In

Packet Pick-up and Registration - Race Day Low Priority

Details

Make sure to check in at the volunteer tent upon arrival.

Volunteers will be responsible for checking in participants on the Race Day Check-in app by looking up their name or by scanning their QR code that can be found on the participants confirmation email. Once the participant's name is found within the system, you will assign them their race bib by entering it into the app or scanning all while making sure they check their personal information for any errors. Please report any edits or errors to the timer or race director.

Racewalkers Check-In

Race Day Giveaways Medium Priority

Make sure to check in at the volunteer tent upon arrival.

Volunteers will be responsible for handing out race giveaways to participants. If it is a sized item, the participant will be given the size they requested/ordered when they registered. You will pull the giveaway tab on the participants BIB once he or she has received their giveaway (if needed). Participants will only be able to switch out their sized item ONLY until after the race has completed. Any issues should be referred to the volunteer coordinator or race director.

Photographer High Priority

This volunteer will be responsible for taking pictures of the start line, venue, finish line, and award ceremony. After the event is over, you will then send the pictures to the race director.
