7th Annual RACERS Rescue Run 5K Volunteer Registration

Course Monitor

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 5 more volunteers needed.

Details

DUTIES: Direct runners and walkers keeping them on course using voice and flag. Flag traffic.
SKILLS: Loud clear voice, outgoing personality. Able to walk and stand outdoors in all temperatures for a 2-hour shift. No lifting.

Report to volunteer by 9:30 am, and be complete by 11:45 am. The stop is located on the 5K Route and directions will be provided. You'll receive instructions and map, then head to your assigned location for verification by a race director.

Volunteers must stay at their post for the entire race, but shorter shifts may be available. (Indicate in comments if you have time constraints)

Youth under the age of 15 should volunteer with a parent/guardian for this role.

DUTIES: Follow the last walker on the course on foot with a wagon, alone or with a partner. Pick up signage and course markings.
SKILLS: Some lifting. Able to walk a 3.1-mile course.

Report to volunteer at 9:30 am, and be complete by 11:45 am. Volunteer(s) will be provided a map and will ride with the race director to confirm locations of volunteers at 9:45 am. At 10:30 am, the volunteer will follow behind the last walker through the entire course.
