Late registration for runners who have not yet signed up. Direct runners to use computers provided, assign race bib number and hand out race T-shirts from remaining sizes.

After Race Food - Saturday

Food Table Volunteers

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Assist Julie Warnke, Food Lead, with setting out after race food and drink for 5K runners. Also encourage runners to move through the line to avoid congestion.

Location

Check in at Volunteer table under the tent at 8 S. Squire Street, next to the downtown Rockford Pavilion. From there you'll receive your assignment and instruction. Light breakfast will be provided.

Saturday

Race Day Early Morning Registration Set-up & Volunteer Sign In

Details

You will help setup tables, hang signage & banners, unpack shirts, etc.. Registration tent opens at 7am. Then you will check in race volunteers, hand out volunteer t-shirts, instruct them where to serve (information will be provided) and possibly assign last minute volunteer positions based on need.

Check in at Volunteer table under the tent at 8 S. Squire Street, next to the downtown Rockford Pavilion. Light breakfast will be provided.

Saturday Morning Late Registration/Bib pick up

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Course Volunteer or Cheerleader

You must be 13 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Responsibilities include cheering on the runners while monitoring their safety as well as the safety of spectators. You will be assigned specific locations throughout the race. If you're volunteering with a group, we will do our best to keep you together on the course.

Check in at Volunteer table between 7-7:15am under the tent at 8 S. Squire Street, next to the downtown Rockford Pavilion. From there you'll receive your assignment and instruction. Light breakfast will be provided.

Kids K Course Volunteers

You must be 13 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Assist the kids as they run the course by pointing them in the right direction and provide help as needed.

Location

Please meet at the registration tent between 7:45-8am, next to the Rockford Pavilion on S. Squire St. for the volunteer meeting at 8am and to pick up your volunteer t shirt.

Clean Up Crew

Details

Assist with cleaning up the course, registration and auction area. This includes but is not limited to collecting race cones, taking down signs, making sure trash is in a container, and taking down tables and chairs.

Starting at 7am, direct runners and spectators to parking areas. Meet at 6:45am under white tent on Squire st to check in.

Super Hero

You must be 13 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Super hero costumes are provided. Arrive at 8am to get into costume and take photos with the littles prior to the race (8:30-9:20am). Lead pre race stretches for the Kids K starting at 9:20am and run alongside the kids during heat 1 (200 yards) and heat 2 (1K - about 600 yards).
