Friday Set Up

Friday: Race Set-Up General Volunteer 3-6pm High Priority

Details

General Volunteers are needed for a variety of set-up requirements. Volunteers for this time slot can choose to help inside, outside, or both on the day of set-up. Volunteers can arrive and leave as they need between 3-6pm.
Course Set-Up (Outside): set up banners, signs, cones, and road markers along the course. Set up Finish Line arch.
Registration/Organization (Inside): set up registration area, organize water stop supplies, set up awards area.

Saturday: Water Stop Crew High Priority

Details

Need a vehicle to transport table and water supplies for your water stop.
Pour water cups, hand out to runners. Clean up afterwards and return table, water jug, and any extra cups. All supplies can be picked up and returned to High School Commons. Optional: Volunteers can be creative with their stop: decorate, dress up in costume, play music, or any other creative, celebratory ideas to hype up the runners; this creates a fun race for the runners!

Saturday: Course Attendant High Priority

Details

We need several people placed in specific locations throughout the race course to direct racers, especially at course turns. In some spots, attendants may need to be watchful of road traffic.

Saturday: Lead Vehicle Driver/Course Sweeper High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Drive the lead vehicle (4-wheeler will be provided). Must be available to complete a practice run and drive the full course on Friday. After lead racer crosses finish line, drive course to follow the final racer.

Post-Race

Saturday: Post-Race Clean Up General Volunteer Low Priority

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

All areas of and supplies associated with the race need to be picked up, cleaned up, put in boxes/bins/vehicles and hauled back to be put away. Any volunteer for this must be able to lift and carry items of various weight and size.
