A current flagger certification is required to sign up for this flagging position. Please have your certification with you at the race.
There are 3 ways you can pick up your gear: 1) go to Packet Pickup on 12/5/25 at Stockman Bank on Kagy & 19th between 10 am and 7 pm, 2) go to the Willson Gym Information Desk on race day starting at 8:00 am, or 3) we are happy to drop it off to you the week before the race - let us know. Your flagging location will be emailed to you prior to the race. Please check in at the Information Desk when you arrive at the Willson Gym.

Course Set Up

Details

Course Set Up requires a team of 4 volunteers to set up candlesticks and cones along the race course. Bring gloves and be prepared for some manual labor. Meet at the Willson Gym, 404 W. Main St at 7:00 am on 12/6/25 and check in at the Information Desk.

Course Sweepers

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Sweepers will secure the course and make sure all runners have finished. Meet at the Willson Gym, 404 W. Main St. at 9:45 am on race day and check in at the Information Desk.

Details

Direct race participants through intersections and help keep everyone safe. There are 3 ways you can pick up your gear: 1) go to Packet Pickup on 12/5/25 at Stockman Bank on Kagy & 19th between 10 am and 7 pm, 2) go to the Willson Gym Information Desk on race day starting at 8:00 am, or 3) we are happy to drop it off to you the week before the race - let us know. Details

Pick up cones from the city (814 N. Bozeman St) on 12/5/25. Drive the course around 7:00 am on race day to chauffeur the Course Set Up volunteers. They will set up candlesticks & cones and drop off the Water Station supplies container. After the race, when the sweepers have gone by, follow them and pick up candlesticks & cones and the Water Station supplies. Return the cones on 12/8/25 to the city. Please check in at the Information Desk when you arrive at the race.

Take fabulous photos during the Santa Run. A list of suggested photos will be given to you before the race so you know what is expected.

Christmas Stroll Table

Details

Sell Christmas Stroll buttons for the Downtown Alliance. Keep track of the money bag and turn it in to the Information Desk when your shift is over. Check in at the Information Desk when you arrive.

Ensure the cookie table is well stocked and organized, and keep the area clean. Greet our participants and spectators as they come for delicious cookies from Cafe M. Please check in at the Information Desk when you arrive.
