Greetings!
It takes more than 250 volunteers each year to make the Governor's Cup a success. This includes more than 140 course guards. Course guards play an important role, as they keep our runners safe and provide a bit of motivation as well.
Below is some important information on being a course guard for the 2024 Governor's Cup on June 8. If you have additional questions, please contact Dave Hartman at (406) 273-1847. Thank you so much for considering volunteering to be a course guard.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER
•Course guards need to be 18.
•Families can bring their children, but they must stay on the sidewalk. They can't stop traffic.
•All volunteers will receive an orange vest, stop sign, bottled water, and instructions.
•Course guards will receive a $5 gift card to 1889 Coffee House.
•Volunteer times are an estimate. You will be released from your post by the course sweeper.
•Course guards can bring a friend and do shifts, if that is easier.
