Kayak or SUP support for the 150 swimmers during the the 1.2 mile point to point swim. Swim goes with the current South to North in the back bays of Avalon. Not a technical course, no buoys to round, it goes with the tide along Ocean Drive and turns on 7th Street to the AYC. SUP just need to get down on their boards when passing under the 21st Street bridge. About a 60 minute time commitment on the water.

Location

START DOCK for September : 23rd Street Public Dock on Ocean Drive. You can drop your gear there and drive to AYC and park your car. A few people are just walking back to the start dock. I am looking onto the option os a shuttle but do not count on it. Some are parking and launching from the AYC. It will be an easy paddle to the start with the incoming tide and slack, and outgoing the for the swim. Be in the water around 11:15 AM at the start dock and we will be ready to start the swim promptly at 11:30 AM. Swim finish is at the Avalon Yacht Club on 7th Street.

9:30-11:00 Give out athlete swim caps, timing chips, and hoodies once they tell you their number.

Confirm athlete name and contact information, any medical conditions.

Assist with gear drop at the finish line.
