Not a technical course, with only two 90 degree left turns. About a 60 minute time commitment on the water. NEW: All volunteers should check in at AVALON COMMUNITY HALL 9:00-9:30am. 3001 Avalon Avenue. You will be given a high visibility vest and a rescue whistle, if you do not have one. Thank you so much for your willingness to help us and our community charity event. The volunteers will get some event gear.

Location

Community Hall check in and then go to Avalon Yacht Club. 704 7th Street. What has worked best in previous years is please park in the far back north of the AYC lot after dropping your SUP/kayak off at the finish ramp located to the right of the youth room. At approximately 10:15am, the group of on water support volunteers will all paddle with the incoming tide to the race start and wait/rest at the dock.

Volunteer safety briefing is at the starting dock around 10:50 AM. We will be ready to start the swim promptly at 11:00 AM. Swim finish is at the Avalon Yacht Club on 7th Street. Swimmers will finish between 11:25--11:45AM. There will be about 10 swimmers in that last 15 minutes trying to complete the mandatory 60 minute swim cut off time for the swimmers to finish.
