Details

Course marshals play an important role for ensuring the safety of participants by staffing low activity intersections. These volunteers are stationed along the course and have the opportunity to see and cheer on runners while also directing them.

Depending on your location on the course, volunteers will be asked to check in between 8:15 AM and 9:15 AM.

The first race will start at 8:45. The second race starts at 9:30.

Your finish time will depend on how far they are into the course with the latest being 11 AM.

Mid-September, we will reach out to all registered volunteers to see which spots work best for them.

Sweeper

Volunteer

Details

Sweepers play an important role in making sure all participants in the race make it back to the finish line. They also tell the course marshals when it is safe to leave their location. Sweepers will walk slowly behind the last participant with a balloon serving as a visual end to the race. They are needed for the 5K and 2 Mile Walk. Only one is needed for each race but sometimes it's fun in pairs.

Mid-September, we will reach out to all registered volunteers to confirm you'll meet us at the start line of whichever race works best for you.

Water Stop - All Races - Mack / Petrick Farm

Details

Volunteers will be responsible for setting up water tables and trash cans. Volunteers will pre pour water in advance of the race and hand to runners and walkers as they pass. Volunteers will be responsible to clean up area for easy pick up by our post-race clean-up crew. Cheering and encouragement of participants also appreciated! Great opportunity for a team.

Finish Line Support

Details

Volunteers will guide runners and walkers through the finish chute and help keep crowds away from the finish line. They will direct participants to the post race refreshments. Two volunteers will be needed to assist the timing company with timing the race.

Bag Check

Details

The bag drop provides runners a place to leave their important things while they race. Bag drop volunteers will check in the runner's bag before the race and will retrieve it when the runner returns.

Be the first to welcome our participants. Volunteers will handout race bibs and race swag.
Volunteers will need good organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment and be required to download an app on their phone prior to arrival.

Kids Sprints

Details

Volunteers will help manage the best part of the day - the kids sprints. You will assist in handing out medals and prizes as well as organizing the tiny sprinters as they are grouped with kids who are the same age.

Your role is to direct people who have questions such as how to register race day, where to find the bathrooms or start line. A list of frequently asked questions will be reviewed with you event morning. You will also be provided with a contact in the event you are asked a question and do not know the answer.
