Details

We will need some volunteers to mark course on August 9,10, and 11th. Course Markers will need to hike segments of the course with a group of markers hiking 20 plus miles per day.

We are looking for someone that would want to lead a Shake Out Run the day before the race around Base Camp starting at the Welcome Center.

Aid Stations

Buck Creek Aid Station Medium Priority

Details

Volunteers at the Buck Creek Aid Station will depart Base Camp in a Philmont vehicle at 6am to be dropped off at the Aid Station. They will set up the Aid Station and be there for the whole time that the aid station is open. Buck Creek Aid Station closes at Noon, where the volunteers will clean up and then be picked up via truck that will be coming from the Clear Creek Aid Station back to Base Camp.

Tooth Ridge Aid Station Medium Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will leave Basecamp to drive to the Lovers Leap Trailhead at 6:30am. From the Trailhead the volunteers will hike up the Stockade and man the Tooth Ridge Aid Station for the entire race probably not starting to hike back to the Lovers Leap Trailhead until 10pm. So this would be a long day and you will need to be prepared to be outside for that entire time. If the Tooth Ridge Aid Station volunteers want to as a group we can arrange for them to camp at Tooth Ridge for the weekend. This is a Water Only Aid Station and we will have water already stationed at the Aid Station to hand out to the runners.

Clear Creek Drop Bags Low Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

This volunteer task is full.

Details

This volunteer will depart Base Camp in a Philmont vehicle at 6am with all the Drop Bags for that Aid Station. Once they arrive at Clear Creek they will organize and set up the Drop Bag station to hand out bags to the runners as they come through. Once the Clear Creek Aid Station has closed at 1:45pm they will be transported back to Base Camp

Clark's Fork Drop Bags High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Minimum met, 1 volunteer spot remaining.

Details

This volunteer will depart Base Camp in a Philmont vehicle at 9:30am with all the Drop Bags for that Aid Station. Once they arrive at Clarks Fork they will organize and set up the Drop Bag station to hand out bags to the runners as they come through. Once the Clarks Fork Aid Station has closed at 6:15pm they will be transported back to Base Camp.

Shaefer's Pass Low Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Looking to get a couple of people to camp out at Shaefer's Pass Trail Camp for the weekend and help guide runners onto the correct trail during the race. To get to Shaefer's Pass you will need to hike up from Clark's Fork bring all the supplies and water you would need to camp up there for the weekend.

Course Sweepers will Hike/Run the course behind the last runners of each distance on Race Day. Sign up here to be a Course Sweeper then we will divide up sweeping assignments closer to the race, but just prepare to be out on the trail for the full day going 8 to 25 miles on the trail.
