Course Marshals

Details

A course marshal is out on the course helping to direct runners, keep everyone safe and keep cars detoured around the course. It never hurts to cheer for the runners as they pass too.

Finish Line Water

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Getting water to the finish line after runners/walkers take off. Handing water to participants as they return.

Finish Line Snacks

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Helping to set up the finish line and passing out snacks to participants as they finish the race.

Spectator Pass Outs (Megaphones, Poster Board, Markers)

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Pass out poster board/markers and megaphones to spectators along Erie St.

General Cleanup

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Helping to keep the finish line clear of debris; bringing full garbage bags and clean trash to the truck in front of the post office.

Finish Line Drink Tickets

At least 8 more volunteers needed.

Details

Hand out drink tickets to participants as they finish the race, checking off bibs as they pass.

Race Day Packet Pickup: 7:45am – 9:30am

Race Day Packet Pickup: 7:45am – 9:30am in front of the Willoughby Post Office. Checking in participants, handing out swag/bibs, etc.

Race Day Setup / General Help / Floaters

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Please arrive by 8:30am and meet by the truck in front of the Post Office. There will be a lot of general setup and help needed for the race. At 9:30am, the streets will be closed to traffic and we can begin to setup the start/finish line and get everything moved into the race area. Setup banners, unpack, help tear down at the end of the race.

On-Course Water Stop

At least 18 more volunteers needed.

Details

Setting up water station on Glenwood / Hastings. Passing out water to runners/walkers as they go by. Cleaning up cups and clean trash at the end of the race, tearing down tables as roads reopen.

Shirt Exchange: 9:30am – 12:00pm

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

After packet pick up is complete, participants can exchange their race shirt for another size, if available.
