Parking Attendant

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Arrival: 6:45AM at Upper Saucon Township Park.
Volunteer Hours: 7:00AM to 8:00AM.
Volunteer Duties: Parking attendants will direct participants to parking spaces at Upper Saucon Township Park and directly across the street at the library/soccer fields for overflow.

Bib Pick-Up (Runners)

Volunteer Hours: 6:30AM to 8:00AM.
Volunteer Duties: Help set the pavilion up for bib pick-up and general race activities. Check registrants in, mark their name off of the check-in list, give them their bib, and work with t-shirt volunteer to make sure the registrant gets their shirt if they ordered one.

Volunteer Hours: 7:45AM until the last participant crosses the finish line.
Volunteer Duties: Complete race course, staying behind the last participant to make sure that everyone crosses the finish line, and communicate any emergencies to nearest assistance and the Race Director.
Special Notes: Please carry cell phone for communications.

Road Crossing Attendant (Old Mill Road)

Arrival: 7:30AM at Upper Saucon Township Park.
Volunteer Hours: 7:30AM until the sweep comes through the road crossing on return to the finish.
Volunteer Duties: Monitor any traffic that may pass through this intersection and direct traffic to ensure safe passage for all registrants. Note: this is a very low-traffic crossing.

Volunteer Hours: 8:15AM until the sweep comes through the finish line.
Volunteer Duties: Hand out water and obtain emergency assistance as may be necessary.

Post-Race Food

Arrival: 8:00 AM at Upper Saucon Township Park.
Volunteer Hours: 8:00AM to 10:00AM.
Volunteer Duties: Help clean up from bib and t-shirt pick-up, set tables up for food, get food out on tables (depending on food, there may be prep responsibilities such as slicing bagels or making sandwiches), keep food table clean and stocked.
Special Notes: All materials will be provided.

Race Clean-Up

Volunteer Duties: Help clean and pack up the site.

Course Turn-Around

Volunteer Duties: Direct participants back toward the finish at the turn-aorund, direct traffic as necessary to ensure participant safety.

Race Photographer

Details

Arrival: 7:30AM at Upper Saucon Township Park.
Volunteer Hours: 7:30AM until the sweep comes through on return to the finish.
Volunteer Duties: Take photos of all participants from a designated vantage point on the course, and before and after race. Post photos to internet.
