Course Marshals

You must be 14 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 20 more volunteers needed.

Details

- Stand at assigned intersection or course point
- Direct runners and walkers along the correct route
- Alert participants to turns, hazards or narrow sections
- Monitor pedestrian traffic and communicate with event staff as needed
- Cross general public when safe
- Cheer and motivate participants along the course
- Remain at post until cleared by course manager
- If assigned to mark the last participants, follow them until they cross the Finish Line

Race Day Refreshment Tent

Details

- Set up refreshment tables with bananas and water
- Hand out items efficiently while keeping lines moving
- Monitor supplies and restock as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and food-safe handling practices
- Assist participants with general event questions as needed

Race Day Gear Check Tent

Details

- Set up Gear Check tent with tables & supplies
- Label tables with number ranges
- Tag bags as they are dropped
- Label/tag clearly and with participant identifier – bib number
- Organize bags in numerical order for quick retrieval
- Keep tent organized and visually welcoming
- Assist participants with general event questions as needed
- Confirm participant identifier matches label/tag on bag before giving item back

Race Day Greeters

Details

- Greet participants and provide directional information
- Monitor entrances to prevent congestion
- Assist with accessibility needs as required
- Assist participants with general event questions as needed

Finish Line Medals

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

- Unbox and unwrap finisher medals
- Arrange medals on rack; Make sure they are placed securely and safely
- Maintain a safe distance from the Finish Line
- Distribute one medal to each participant as they finish
- Congratulate every participant as they finish
- Keep the finish chute clear and moving
- Alert staff if medal supplies are running low

Finish Line Water

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

- Set up water on tables past finisher medals
- Hand out water to finishers
- Encourage participants to keep moving through the finish chute
- Watch for signs of distress and notify medical staff if needed
- Restock water supplies as needed including trash bags
- Maintain a clean area free of discarded water bottles

Race Day T-Shirt Tent

Details

- Set up t-shirt by size
- Verify participant should receive a race shirt – Noted on bib
- Distribute correct size
- Mark bib when shirt has been given to participant
- Manage inventory and track remaining quantities
- Inform event lead if sizes run low
- Keep lines moving and maintain organized tent layout
- Assist participants with general event questions as needed
