Packet Pick Up High Priority

Details

Be the Welcome Committee! The first to greet the athletes and welcome them to Tri Waco, these volunteers will be handing the triathletes their info packets, t-shirts, bags, and any other materials needed. A friendly attitude and big smile are the most important requirements for this job! Shade and seating are available.

Race Day

Race Breakdown

Details

A super important job, as we must clean up and tear down post race. Volunteers will help in the break down of race equipment and general clean up. Heavy lifting may be required.

Other Tasks

Transition Area High Priority

June 29, 2025

Details

Volunteers will body mark, provide directional help, and monitor transition area. This includes assuring only athletes enter the transition area as well as checking bikes as they enter and leave. Volunteers will be on their feet at all times and exposed to the elements.

Water Station Assistance Medium Priority

Details

Be the cheerleader! Volunteers will help manage water stations, which includes handing out water and hydration product as well as picking up the cups. They will also serve as course monitors and cheer on the athletes. Volunteers will be exposed to the elements and on their feet throughout the shift. This is a great option for families with kids or for companies/organizations wanting to have a fun, team building experience.

On the run course at various stations, predominantly in Cameron Park.

Location Station #3 - Cameron Park Drive at Mouth of the Bosque

Athlete Food Tent

Details

After they finish, the athletes will be hungry and thirsty. Volunteers are needed to hand athletes food and water, replenish beverages and ice as well as be the friendly, congratulatory voice. Some lifting may be required to fill coolers, move water and sodas, etc., but even younger volunteers can help with this job!

Bike Course Pointers

Details

Cheer and direct!Bike course volunteers will be on the course to offer encouragement and provide directional assistance.

Location

Throughout the bike course, which is all located downtown. Exact locations will be provided within one month of the event.

Swim Pullers

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Volunteers will be helping pull racers from the water. This requires some strength; volunteers will be on their feet and exposed to the elements. They may also get wet.
