Storm the Bay Obstacle Course

Build Up Obstacle Course on the Beach

Details

We will need volunteers to help stage and assemble a total of 10 obstacle and PT course stations on East Beach beginning at 4:00 PM on Friday, October 7th. Volunteers will meet at the 21st Bay beach access entrance.

Location

Meet up at the 21st Bay Street Beach access entrance. Course map and build locations to be provided at that time.

Tear Down Obstacles on the Beach

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

We will need volunteers to help tear down a total of 10 obstacle and PT course stations on East Beach beginning at 12PM on Saturday, October 8th. Volunteers will meet at the 21st Bay beach access entrance.

Race and Obstacle Course "Drill Instructors" aka "Motivators" High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Drill instructors to "motivate" and guide participants. Minimum 2 for each obstacle course station- 1 adult male, 1 adult female at each station.

Will also have "motivators" assigned to water stops, and various locations along the race routes. Previous military or sports coaching experience preferred. All "Motivators" must be 18 YOA or older, pass a criminal background check, and have a strong command voice that can last for hours. There will a mandatory training/meeting for these volunteer "Motivators" the day before the event. Time and location TBA.

Volunteers to pass out water at 3 different course water stations. Qualifies for community volunteer service. Under age 10 requires adult supervisor.

Uniformed Medal Hangers High Priority

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

We are looking for active duty or retired military service members of all US Military branches that can volunteer at the Start/Finish line for our races to cheer on participants and to personally present our finishers with their medals. We are asking that these volunteers be in full uniform that is approved and appropriate for the weather conditions so that our finishers will feel that sense of pride of receiving their medal from you and so that they have the opportunity to in turn, thank you for your service and sacrifice.


We will also be happy to have any actively enrolled High School JROTC cadets in good standing volunteer for this task as well under the same uniform guidelines as listed above.
