Course Marshal

Sign the volunteer check-in sheet and see the Course Marshal Coordinator.

Duties include directing runners and keeping them safe along the route are the key responsibilities. A proper understanding of the course and being able to stop pedestrian and/or vehicular traffic while runners cross. Being confident and being loud (if necessary) are pluses.

You also are a key player in keeping the excitement and momentum going on course. Feel free to act crazy, scream, cheer, laugh — anything to bring out a smile on our runners faces!

MUST WEAR A SAFETY VEST (provided by RRRC at check-in)! Standing for long periods of time is required.

This assignment is outdoors. You need to be prepared for the weather on race day & bring your own hydration, snacks and sun screen.

Truck Assistant

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Arrive by 6am to sign the volunteer check-in sheet and meet the RRRC truck.

Assists the driver of the RRRC truck in setting up and taking down the event, from the start/finish line to the cones and water stations along the course.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Walking is required. This assignment is outdoors. You need to be prepared for the weather on race day.

Lead Biker

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

SUNDAY, April 30th
Arrive by 7:30 am to sign the volunteer check-in sheet and get instructions.

One cyclist leads the first runners. The second cyclist, runner or walker follows the last runners/walkers. Must have own bicycle and helmet.

After check-in, head to the water station to assist with set-up.

Please arrive by 7:15 am to assist with set up & to sign the volunteer check-in sheet.

Work at the direction of the race director and timer. Assist with timing and set-up/break-down of the finish line equipment. Some lifting is required.

You also have a key role in cheering on our runners as they finish their race!

General Volunteers

Post-Race Food

You must be 10 or older to volunteer for this task.

Sign the volunteer check-in sheet.

Duties include setting up/breaking down the post-race food station, preparing food items (if necessary), distributing food to event participants upon completion of the race, and making sure that spectators are not partaking in the post race food.

Assignments will be given before race day.

Assignments may include Course Marshal, Water Stop, Finish Line, Registration, or general set-up or breakdown.

All assignments are outdoors. You need to be prepared for the weather on race day. This position is not appropriate for a volunteer with small children or pets, who need supervision.

You may receive an email a few days in advance of the event with additional assignment details.

Sign the volunteer check-in sheet.

Responsible for using RRRC camera to capture photos at registration, start/finish, and along the event course. The camera will be available on race morning at the RRRC truck.

If you have your own equipment, you are welcome/encouraged to use it instead of the RRRC camera.

Follow directions to upload photographs from camera/memory card to FaceBook and RunSignUp. 5Mb image size is preferable.

Photography experience preferred.
