Volunteers will make sure only participants are in the transition area, assist athletes in finding their rack, bike pumps, and water, as well as directing them in the right direction throughout the race. The transition area in a triathlon is the section of the course that is set out to hold your bikes and kit for the three stages (swimming, cycling, running) of the race. Participants will use this area twice; once to change from their swim to their bike, and the second time from bike to their run.
