CWU PUSH 5K For Hunger

Presidents United to Solve Hunger (PUSH) is an national organization with the mission to help hungry students on university campuses find the resources they need to live active, healthy lifestyles and be successful in their academic pursuits. Join the community movement to help fight food insecurity on Central Washington University campus by participating in our annual PUSH 5K! All donations and sales will be used to directly support hungry students on campus.

Due to the global COVID-19 crisis, we have decided to create a virtual race this year with the intent for a community focused event that will promote wellness, active lifestyles, and a unified mission to fight hunger during this time of need.

To participate in this event, simply upload your time for a 3.1 mile distance on the day of the event using any tracking device you are comfortable with (FitBit, Map My Run, etc.) to our community Facebook event page which you will be invited to when you register or donate. This year will look a little different than previous years, and we will not have the ability to mail T-shirts or prizes. However, participants are encouraged to show their support of fighting hunger by creating their own T-shirts, or other race-day gear as a fun family or individual activity to wear on race day!

Participation also allows you the opportunity to be promoted on our social media to celebrate your community support and race result successes! We want to recognize participants and donation support efforts given by our community members, and the incredible impact each person makes to the movement to fight hunger. Therefore, participants are encouraged to upload race day photos and results for the chance to be recognized on our Central Washington University social media accounts. Donation members will also have the opportunity for recognition if you so choose! We appreciate the support in this time of need and we are excited for a fun and community uniting event!
