The Port Angeles Marathon Association is excited for the 5th Run the Peninsula Race Series of 2023 on Saturday, December 2nd. Included in this email are reminders and sources for finding the information you need to make Saturday successful.

MANDATORY HEADLIGHTS OR
LIGHTING DEVICE

This run / walk will be starting at dusk and the course will be dark. It is REQUIRED to wear a headlamp or some other lighting device on you will participating in this event. Thank you to local store Brown's Outdoor we do have Petzl Tikkina Headlamps still available for purchase.  You can pre-purchase headlamps HERE. If you already purchased a headlamp they will be available at the startline area. 



SHUTTLES TO THE RACE START

THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE START OF THE RACE - Jamestown S'Klallam Tribal Campus (1033 Old Blyn Hwy, Blyn, WA 98382). Shuttles will be running from 7 Cedars Casino RV Parking lot (270756 US-101, Blyn, WA 98382). Shuttles will start running at 2:30 and continue throughout the evening. There will be Shuttle Bus Pick-up / Drop-off Signs at both locations. 

 

RACE BIB PICK-UP

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2nd - 2:30 - 4:15 PM - Pick up your bib at the starting line before the race.  Bib Pick-up is Jamestown S'Klallam Tribal Center Parking Area by the Starting Line (See Map Above).

There are mile markers along the course for both the 5K and 10K. There will also be a large turn around sign at the 5K and 10K turn around.

RESULTS


All participants will have official timed results. Results will be available to check online after the race. You can access your results immediately after you finish by scanning the QR code in the finishline area. 
 


Awards will be presented to the overall male and female for each race and 1st, 2nd and 3rd for male and female in each age category. You need to be present to receive your awards. Awards will not be mailed out. You won't want to miss out on the awesome awards. You can check your results by scanning the QR code on the front of your bib. If you placed in the top 3 in your age category please stop awards table to pick up your prize. 

CHANGES / SWITCH TO VIRTUAL RACE

 If you need to make any changes to your registration or switch form the onsite race on Saturday to the Virtual race you can make those changes HERE! You will need to login to your RunSignUp account and then select manage reservation. At the bottom of the page you can transfer event. Any other change requests should be emailed to the Race Director at rtp@runthepeninsula.com. 

BAG CHECK

We will be providing a bag check at the start / finish line. You will need to provide the bag and it will be marked with your bib number. You can drop if off before the race and pick it up after.

Description

Join us in the 5th of 5 races in the 2023  Run the Peninsula Road Race Series, Jamestown S'Klallam 5K / 10K. The 5K and 10K will be an out and back on the Olympic Discovery Trail. 

The 5K and 10K will start at dusk, approximately 4:30 pm on Saturday, December 2nd at the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe. All of Jamestown lights will be shining bright and on display during the run. 

HEADLAMPS (OR FLASHLIGHTS) WILL BE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS RACE. YOU CAN PURCHASE HEADLAMPS DURING THE CHECKOUT PROCESS.
