Traveler 5.5K Run & Walk Cancelled
Health, fitness and well-being is why Hood Canal Events was started, and improving the quality of life in the Pacific Northwest by providing quality events continues to be our goal.
It is definitely a challenging time we are in and it’s with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel the Traveler 5.5K this year due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
We are hopeful and remain positive that the measures taken today will result in a better 2020 for everyone! The remaining events we have scheduled for the year are still on schedule and we hope that you can come participate and support. Description
The Traveler 5.5K Run & Walk celebrates the return of spring in Union, WA. “The Traveler,” a rock formation on the face of Mt. Washington in the Olympic Mountain range is visible only for a few months every year and only from the Union, WA. view of the mountain in spring. The race is a 3.4 mile race with some rolling hills along the private residential streets of the Alderbrook Golf Club. Join us for the post race viewing party and enjoy your complimentary beer and awards ceremony!
Hood Canal Events is excited to be contributing a portion of this years event proceeds to Long Live the Kings, a non-profit hatchery on Hood Canal committed to restoring wild salmon and steelhead in the Pacific Northwest (contribution made after all event costs covered). The race will be held at the Alderbrook Golf Club’s outdoor space "The Pointe," with a spectacular sweeping view of Hood Canal, the Olympic Mountain range, and The Traveler.
- ALL EVENT CUPS ARE VEGWARE - made from 100% plant based and recycled materials that include no plastic and are commercially compostable.
- Event t-shirts will be designed by local legend Kirk Endicott's K-Dog Clothing and are available for registered participants for an additional $18.
- Packet Pick-Up available on Friday, April 24, 2020 between 5pm - 7pm at the Alderbrook Golf Club House, and on race day Saturday, April 25, 2020 between 8:30am - 9:30am
