Description
Join Jackson in Action on the Virtual Tour de Jackson County event! This virtual, 6-week challenge includes two options. Select one, or sign up for both!
(1) 60 Mile Run/Walk Challenge - Log 60 miles of running or walking from Sept 13 to October 24.
(2) 130 Mile Bike Challenge - Log 130 miles of biking from Sept 13 to October 24.
All activities can be tracked online via the RunSignup website. You will earn milestone badges along the way to encourage you as you virtually travel the distance around the county. To be clear, you do not actually have to walk/bike the route shown. You can do your mileage anywhere, anytime. Indoors, outdoors...it all counts! Your accumulated mileage will virtually represent biking or walking around the county.
This challenge is FREE to participate in! Encourage your friends and family to sign up. And share pictures with us through the RunSignUp website, or by visiting our Jackson In Action facebook page.
Prize Drawing for Tour de Jackson County Finishers
Jackson in Action will be randomly drawing 3 lucky finishers for a prize package. Any participant who signs up, completes one of the challenges, and logs the mileage through the online tracker will be included in the drawing.
Each prize package tentatively will include a Jackson in Action running belt, Jackson in Action stocking hat, Jackson in Action magnet, and $20 in Black River Area Chamber Bucks.
Complete both challenges to double your chance to win one of the three prize packages!
60 Mile Walk/Run Map
Travel around Jackson County Virtually as you log 60 miles. This route will take you through Black River Falls, Melrose, Hixton, Alma Center, and back to Black River Falls. By submitting your activity on the RunSignUp website, you'll be able to watch your progress along a "live" map. Very cool!
130 Mile Bike Map
The 130 mile bike route loops around the county. Virtually travel from Black River Falls down to Melrose up to Northfield, all the way over to Bear Bluff and back around to Shamrock before landing back in Black River Falls. The best part...your mileage can be done anywhere, anytime. So whether or not you live in Jackson County, come along and join us for the ride!
