What a great way to start any 4th of July by supporting northern Wisconsin area veterans or veteran organizations AND getting outside for a walk or run! This event really checks the boxes for an outdoor 5K run or 1-mile fun run/walk in the north woods. Join us for this morning's adventure. So, get let's gather with your friends and family! Events take place at the MECCA trail system in Mercer, Wisconsin.
Purpose
Your contributions, participation, donations and generosity support those courageous individuals who make the sacrifice for the sake of freedom. This year’s charities are the Never Forgotten Honor Flight, Northwoods Veterans Home in Rhinelander, and the Mercer Cemetery. More information on eac charity is found in the Donate tab.
The Never Forgotten Honor Flight takes veterans to Washington DC to visit their memorials.
Northwood Veterans Home provides tiny homes and individual training to homeless veterans to successfully navigate in independency.
The Mercer Cemetary has a need to make improvements to veteran's headstones and memorials.
