Miles for the Mind
Mental health touches every family, workplace, school, and community. Miles for the Mind brings our community together to create a welcoming space for movement, connection, mental health awareness, and local resources. Whether you run, walk, ruck, volunteer, donate, or cheer, your presence helps remind others they are not alone.
This event is about more than miles. It is about showing up for each other, starting conversations, supporting mental health resources, and reminding people that they are not alone. Participants can choose the timed 5K run/walk or the untimed 1-mile walk, making this a welcoming event for runners, walkers, families, teams, veterans, first responders, and anyone who wants to support the cause.
The event will also feature a Mental Health Resource Village with local nonprofits, providers, community partners, and organizations offering information and support. Proceeds will benefit Silver Circle Foundation, Inc. mental health initiatives and local nonprofit partners working to support mental health, suicide prevention, veterans, first responders, youth, and families.

Course Information
Veterans Park is beautiful in May, making it the perfect setting for Miles for the Mind.
Participants will enjoy a flat, accessible run and walk course with incredible views of Lake Michigan, Veterans Park Lagoon, McKinley Marina, and Milwaukee’s scenic lakefront. Whether you are running, walking, supporting a loved one, or simply showing up for mental health, this course is welcoming for all ages and abilities.

T-shirts
The shirts are cotton and those registered by noon, April 20th, are guaranteed a custom race shirt. After that, shirts will be available while online supplies last. Any extra shirts will be distributed after the race on a first-come, first-served basis.
FREE Kiddos 1K
Bring the kids out for the FREE Kiddos 1K!
Each child will receive a race bib, just like Mom and Dad, and a Silver Circle Sports Events finisher medal when they cross the finish line.
The Kiddos 1K is free for children when a parent or guardian is registered for the event. Shirts are not included with the free kiddos registration, but they are available for purchase.
This event is intended for children under 10.

PLEASE BRING YOUR QR CODE WITH YOU!
You do not need to print it. We will need to scan the QR code on the receipt, though, so please have your email accessible on your mobile device or save a picture of your receipt with the QR code to your device’s image library.

Picking up more than one packet
If you are picking up for more than a couple people, please do the following:
1. Put all of their QR codes on one sheet of paper OR
2. Write all of their names on one sheet of paper (last name, first name, t-shirt).
That will make your life a whole lot easier when you go to hand out the info to your team.

Team Packet Pickup
We’re making race day even easier for teams! Here’s how it works: If your team has 4 or more members by May 19th at noon, we’ll preassemble your entire team’s packets—including:
• Race shirts
• Bibs labeled with each runner’s name, shirt size, bib number, gender, age, and event
These will be ready in one convenient bundle for pickup.
Add to your team NOW and make race day simple!!!
Important:
• One person (Team Captain or designee) should pick up the entire team’s packets. Make sure you tell your team where you are going to meet them to distribute packets.
• No individual pickups will be allowed for qualifying teams.
• Teams with fewer than 4 members can still pick up individually.
📣 Heads-up for Captains:
If you registered team members using your own email address, they won’t receive race communications. Be sure to forward this info so everyone is in the loop!

The top overall male and female runners in each distance will receive a custom award provided by our partner, Ridgeway Woodworks.
🥇 Age Group Awards
The top 3 male and female finishers in 5-year age groups will receive a custom woodle. Age groups start at 0-14, then continue in 5-year increments.

How to Transfer, Defer, Change Shirt Size, or Change Distances
Follow these steps to make changes to your race registration:
- Go to RunSignUp.com and log in to your account.
- Select your Profile.
- Scroll down to the race you wish to modify.
- Click on "Manage Registration".
- Choose from the available options in the menu, including:
- Transfers (to another participant or race)
- Change Shirt Size
- Modify Team
- Change Distances
- Resend Confirmation/QR Code
- Deferrals

Aid Station
There will be one aid station on the 5K course.
Participants are encouraged to stay hydrated and strong from start to finish.💧💪

Refunds are not permitted for any reason.
The event will be held unless severe weather occurs. In the event of severe weather, the race director may delay or cancel the event. If the event is canceled, there will be no refunds. Silver Circle Sports Events has a NO REFUND policy.
