A little running (or walking) through Lake Vista Park in Oak Creek along Lake Michigan (mostly paved, one uphill segment may or may not be a bit rocky - ok, it definitely is, but the view is worth it, we promise!), a little beer, and a whole lot of fun!
This registration is for The Explorium Brewpub Beer Garden 5K at Lake Vista Park on Wednesday, June 7 only. If you would like to register for the entire 4 - event Beer Garden 5K Series, please go to the series registration site: Beer Garden 5K Series
This is our windiest course ever! Are you ready for twists, turns, and hills?! Don't worry, you have until June to prepare and we believe in you! We promise this course comes with Great Lake views (see what we did there?) and it'll be marked REALLY well, so you won't be able to get lost, even if looking at the course map has you convinced otherwise.
The walk division is a timed event. It is not a competitive event and there are no awards for the walk division. Walkers will receive a finisher woodle!
5:30 pm: Packet Pickup Opens
6:15 pm: Kiddo's 1K
6:30 pm: 5K Race/Walk Starts
We have returned to mass starts! If you'd prefer to continue social distancing, you are welcome to distance from those toeing the line and may start your race when you are comfortable. The start line will remain open for about 10 minutes.
We are excited to once again partner with the Explorium Brewpub for this beer garden run. Runners will receive one free beer for participating in the event. Additional beer is available for purchase on site.
Water, gatorade, and freeze pops for the kids will also be available at the finish line.
All participants will receive a custom finisher Woodle made by our friends at Ridgeway Woodworks. The Woodles include a bottle opener in the back, and are made in America from 100% reclaimed wood.
The overall male and female finisher at each race will receive a custom award from Ridgeway Woodworks.
Top 3 male and female finishers in each age group will receive a custom award medal. Age groups are 0-14, then 5-year increments.
All participants who register for the race by Wednesday, June 1 will be guaranteed a race t-shirt. After that, t-shirt sizes and quantities will be limited. Have too many race shirts? No problem, you can opt out of a t-shirt at registration and save $5!
Parking is available throughout Lake Vista Park. Please only park in designated parking areas. Overflow parking is available at Bender Park, which is at the south end of Lake Vista Park. You may want to consider carpooling and arriving early unless you thoroughly enjoy bonus hills!
*Carpool pro-tip: There's a REALLY, REALLY BIG parking lot at The Explorium Brewpub at Southridge Mall - meet there with your crew before the race, take fewer vehicles over to Lake Vista Park, and then return to The Explorium Brewpub post-race to redeem your second free beer token and grab dinner or a snack!*
There will be a Kids 1K run (under 12) where all kids will get a bib just like Mom & Dad. The race is FREE for the kiddos if Mom or Dad is registered and you can register them online at no charge. Sorry, no shirts for the kids, but they do get a finisher medal!
