When you register for the Great Gobble Wobble, you will receive a personal referral link in your confirmation email. Share it with your crew by text, email, or social media. For every five friends who register using your link, you’ll earn $25 back on your registration.
Have a crew of four or more? Create or join a team, and we will preassemble your team’s race packets—shirts, bibs, and race information—in one convenient bundle for easy pickup.

The Tom & Hen 1K: Turkey Costume Dash
Think you have what it takes to outrun the other turkeys?
Join the Turkey Trot 1K Costume Dash—a short, silly, feather-filled run for anyone willing to dress the part. Full costume, turkey hat, feathers, inflatable bird situation…if it says “turkey,” you are in.
It is just $10 to participate, and every turkey gets to claim they were part of the inaugural flock.
The first male and female turkey across the finish line will be crowned Top Tom Turkey and Top Hen Turkey—and each will take home a Thanksgiving essential: a pumpkin pie from Mama K's Kitchen, along with a custom award made by Oconomowoc-based Ridgeway Woodworks, LLC.
No age groups. No pressure. Just one kilometer, a bunch of turkeys, and an entirely reasonable reason to run in public dressed like poultry.
Do we really need to mention that a turkey costume is required to participate in this event?
Gobble Wobble Anywhere: Virtual 5K & 10K
Thanksgiving morning is better when you start it together—even when “together” means Oconomowoc, Arizona, Florida, or halfway around the world.
The Gobble Wobble Anywhere Virtual 5K & 10K lets family members and friends who cannot make it to Oconomowoc join the tradition from wherever they are. Pick your route, run or walk your distance on Thanksgiving Day, and share a photo or finish time with the rest of your crew.
Create or join the same team as your in-person family members, wear your race shirt with pride, and be part of the Gobble Wobble no matter where you spend the holiday.
Because distance should not be the reason Grandma, your college kid, or that cousin who moved somewhere suspiciously warm misses out. 🦃🌎
The Tiny Print
- Register by November 6 to guarantee your race shirt.
- Complete your virtual 5K or 10K by Friday, November 27, 2026.
- Run, walk, ruck, roll, skip—we are not particularly picky. Just have fun and be part of the tradition.

- Walkers are welcome — choose the 5K Walk, or walk either course at your own pace.
- Warm indoor space and restrooms are available at Oconomowoc High School.
- Free on-site parking is available; carpooling is encouraged.
- Race-day registration and packet pickup are available — no paper forms; register right from your phone.
- Kids are welcome — the $5 Kiddo’s 1K starts at 8:40 a.m.
- Free hot chocolate is waiting at the finish line. That alone is a perfectly valid reason to participate.

You’ll find the Hot Chocolate Bar at every event in the Chilly Willy Winter Run Series. It’s also where we typically announce race awards—so don’t miss the fun, the flavors, and the celebration!
Course
The race will start and finish at Oconomowoc High School. The course is mostly flat with minimal elevation change, making it friendly for all fitness levels. Please note: all courses are subject to change — after all, it is winter, and Old Man Winter tends to make his own plans!

PLEASE BRING YOUR EMAIL RECEIPT WITH YOU!
You do not need to print it, but we will need to scan the QR code on the email receipt, so please have your email accessible on your mobile device or save a picture of your receipt with the QR code to your device’s image library. We strongly encourage you to pick up your packet early.

New! Preassembled Team Packets
We’re making race day even easier for teams! Here’s how it works:
If your team has 4 or more members by Monday, November 23rd at noon, we’ll preassemble your entire team’s packets—including:
- Race shirts
- Bibs labeled with each runner’s name, shirt size, bib number, gender, age, and event
These will be ready in one convenient bundle for pickup. We encourage you to pick up your team's packet at early packet pickup.
Important:
- One person (Team Captain or designee) should pick up the entire team’s packets. Make sure you tell your team where you are going to meet them to distribute packets.
- No individual pickups will be allowed for qualifying teams.
- Teams with fewer than 4 members can still pick up individually.
📣 Heads-up for Captains:
If you registered team members using your own email address, they won’t receive race communications. Be sure to forward this info so everyone is in the loop!
How to Join a Team (Even if You’re Already Registered)
It’s super easy (and again, free!):

- Click on your Profile
- Scroll to the race
- Select Group/Team
- Join an existing team or create a new one!
Picking up more than one packet
If you are picking up for more than a couple people, please do the following:
1. Put all of their QR codes on one sheet of paper OR
2. Write all of their names on one sheet of paper (last name, first name, t-shirt).
That will make your life a whole lot easier when you go to hand out the info to your team.

Refunds are not permitted for any reason, including (but certainly not limited to):
- Extreme weather events: blizzard, tsunami, hurricane, tornado, lightning, or locust attack.
- Personal circumstances: oversleeping, birth, death, marriage, divorce, taxes, or an IRS audit.
- Unusual happenings: zombie apocalypse, Elvis sightings, Beatles reunions, or Packers Super Bowl wins.
- Common "oops" moments: forgetting, poor planning, or not training enough.

We often hear, "What's the deal with your T-shirts?" Here's the scoop:
At Silver Circle Sports Events, we believe T-shirts should be more than just a giveaway—they're a badge of accomplishment. Whether it’s a 140.6-mile triathlon you trained a year for or a fun mud run with your kids, it’s about celebrating the memories made along the way.
As athletes ourselves, we know how frustrating a low-quality, scratchy T-shirt can be. That’s why we focus on creating high-quality shirts with thoughtful designs—the kind you’ll actually want to wear.
Why We Do Things Differently
Predicting participant registration after the T-shirt lead time is only slightly easier than predicting the weather. In the past, this meant thousands of surplus shirts piling up in our warehouse—wasteful and not very eco-friendly.
So, we made a change:
- Shirt Guarantee Deadline: Participants who register by a set date are guaranteed a T-shirt.
- After the Deadline: Remaining shirts go into an online inventory.
- Opt-Out Option: You can opt out of a T-shirt before the deadline and save on your registration fee.
This approach reduces waste, saves money, and is better for the planet.

A Woodle is a one-of-a-kind medal crafted from reclaimed lumber. Born in 2020 as a sustainable alternative to traditional zinc medals—especially during COVID-related supply chain disruptions—Woodle medals are an eco-friendly and innovative solution.
These medals not only use reclaimed wood but are also reused for future races if not awarded at an event.
