12:45 p.m. Kids Run Step Off  (Kids 1 Mile Challenge FREE to Kids 10 and under.  Registration the day of the event onsite.)

About the Mountain State Forest Festival

2024 marks the 86th year of the Mountain State Forest Festival, one of the largest and oldest festivals in West Virginia.  The Mountain State Forest Festival promotes the beauty and splendor of the West Virginia mountains and plays a major role in our local and state economy.  This year's festival, with the theme of Timeless Traditions, includes nightly live music and entertainment in the beautiful downtown amphitheater, a lumberjack competition, forestry and wood exhibits, juried art show, photography exhibit, quilt show, arts and crafts, amusement rides, three parades, and the Royal Coronation of Queen Silvia.

Rules and Regulations

1.  Runners shall complete the course as marked and directed.

2.  Runners/Walkers must complete the course in which they have registered.

3.  All decisions of the committee as to finish time, place and any disqualifications shall be final.

Awards

10K RUN - Trophies to First and Second, overall finishers (male/female).  First and second to age divisions (male/female).

Age Groups/RUN - 19-Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-Over

5K RUN - Trophies to First and Second, overall finishers (male/female).  First and second to age divisions (male/female).
