Thank you for registering for the 2023 Walnut Beach Ice Cream 5K Run/Walk benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Milford this Sunday August 6, 2023.
We are very excited for this year's event! In an effort to ensure we are offering a safe event for all participants please ensure you read all the information below.
Safety & Registration Information:
The Race begins and ends at Walnut Beach- 113 E Broadway Milford, CT
The 5k will start at 8:30 am. We ask that participants do not line up prior to 8:20.
Day of Registration begins at 7am- (Day of Registrations MAY NOT RECEIVE A SHIRT)
Pre-Registered Participants can pick up their bibs and t-shirts starting at 7am day of the race
We are expecting a great turnout of participants. Please give yourself enough time to get your bib.
WE ARE SORRY, BUT NO ANIMALS ARE ALLOWED IN THE RACE.
There is a water table near the 2 Mile mark inside Silver Sands State Park- Thank you to the Jonathan Law Football Team!
When running inside Silver Sands State Park it is VERY important the you stay to the right inside the coned off area. The road will be in use and we want to ensure all participants are safe.
All timing will finish at 9:30am- You can finish the race you just will not receive your time
Awards take place at 9:30am under the Pavilion
All Winners not present at the Award Ceremony will have their awards mailed to them.
All results will be posted to Boys & Girls Club of Milford's Facebook Page on Monday August 7th.
PARKING:
This year the Walnut Beach Parking Lot is going to be closed from 7am-10am.
You will have a few options for parking
On street parking. - very limited if you choose to park on the street please note there is a fee and parking meters. If you park please be aware of the meters they are monitored.
Park at the Boys & Girls Club Please-* note our lot is about a 6-7 minute walk to the race start line and the lot may fill. Our address is 59 Devonshire Rd. Milford, CT and our lot is around the back of the building.
Park at Silver Sands State Park- Also about a 5 Min walk to Walnut Beach via the boardwalk.
KIDS RACE
All children under 10 are welcome to participate
Kids Race Starts at 8am
There is No Fee or Registration for the kids race.
We will begin to gather the kids around 7:45am and the race starts at 8am
The kids will run down Broadway and turnaround finishing where they started
All participants will receive a small medal
