Winter Classic 5K

BIB PICK UP & RACE DAY REGISTRATION
Please note the following dates and locations for bib pick up and know your bib number upon arrival:
Saturday, December 3, 2022: 12-3PM @ LaFabrica Central Restaurant, Cambridge MA
Sunday, December 4, 2022: Starting at 8:00 a.m. @ University Park Commons, Cambridge, MA 

NOTE – WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND GRABBING YOUR RACE GOODIES ON SATURDAY. NO GEAR CAN BE PICKED UP OR MAILED AFTER THE RACE. WE DONATE ANY EXTRA SHIRTS TO CHARITY. FRIENDS CAN PICK UP YOUR PACKET FOR YOU. THEY NEED TO KNOW YOUR BIB NUMBER. If you do not plan on running, you can still come to packet pick-up to get your gear or have a friend do so.

In person registrations will be allowed at packet pickups and on race day for $45. T-shirts are not guaranteed if you are registering on race morning.

2022 SEASON PASS QUARTER ZIP PULLOVER
If you signed up for the 2022 Season Pass, you get a quarter zip pullover. These have been available at each Cambridge Classic 5K bib pick up. This is the last opportunity to get your quarter zip pullover. Pullovers will NOT be mailed. Someone else can pick up your pullover for you if they are picking up your Winter Classic bib & swag. After Sunday's race, leftover pullovers will be donated to the CRLS Boys & Girls Track teams. 

PARKING
On street parking in areas surrounding the start of the race will be available, but limited. Please get to the event early if you plan to park. There is plenty of parking available at the Green Street garage and the Pearl Street garage. The race does not cover the cost of parking. We highly recommend participants take public transportation on race day. Central Square along the MBTA Red line is the closest T stop. 

BAG DROP
Bag check will be available starting at 8AM, directly behind the swag distribution tents & tables. You can drop your bag prior to the start of the race. The area will be monitored, but not secure. Do not leave valuables behind. All bags are subject to search by the City of Cambridge Police. Please remember to pick up your bag immediately after you finish running. Please use the tear-off tag on your bib for the bag drop. We will have zip ties available for you to attach the tag to your bag.
Bag check will close at 10:30 AM. 

STARTING LINE DETAILS
Starting line is at 64 Sidney Street, Cambridge, MA. Sidney Street closes to vehicle traffic at 8:45 a.m. The race starts at 9:30 a.m. 

COURSE MAP
The course will start near 64 Sidney St. and take a left on Pacific Street, a left on Albany St., a left on Mass Ave., a left on Putnam Ave., a left on Brookline St. and a right on Franklin. Click here for a visual of the map. 

TEAM VIP AREA
Please see the map below for the Team VIP areas and tent layout for teams of 20+ registered runners. The VIP area will be marked and is in the park behind 64 Sidney St. You are able to access your tent prior to the race. Snacks and beers will not be available until post-race.

BEER
City regulations require that runners to wear a wristband in order to drink alcohol and will have to present their beer tickets when receiving their beer. Anyone not wearing their wristband will not be able to drink. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you misplace your wristband you may get a replacement by presenting your ID to the person giving them out near the beer pouring station. Cambridge Brewing Co will be pouring Flower Child, House Lager and Darkest Nigh at the Winter Classic 5K.  

AWARDS
All overall and age group awards will be mailed out to winners approximately 2 weeks after the event. If you are Top 3 in your age group, you will receive an email from us the week after the race. We will reach out to the team captain of the Largest Team Award prior to the event.

CAMBRIDGE CLASSIC 5KS SERIES MEDAL 
Medals will be given to runners who have a recorded finish time for all 4 2022 Cambridge Classic 5Ks - Spring Classic (5/1/22), Summer Classic (7/14/22), Fall Classic (9/18/22) & Winter Classic (12/4/22). Your bib will have an indication on it so you can claim a medal when you cross the finish line. Medals will be given out after you receive post-race water, along the left hand side of the finish shoot, prior to getting to the after party area. Please collect your medal after crossing the finish line. Medals will not be mailed after the race.
