You'll have the entire month of October to walk, jog or run the distance of the virtual course you select (50 or 130 miles). Track your mileage through this website as you go, and once you've reached your course distance, the challenge is complete. Keep in mind that the virtual courses aren't the actual routes you'll be taking; but if you complete the challenge, it'll be as if you walked or ran from "mauka (mountain) to makai (ocean)" or "around Oʻahu."
Oct. 1-31, 2020
You can complete the challenge anywhere! This challenge is O‘ahu-themed, but it is virtual, so you can complete the mileage at your own pace, on your own time, wherever you’re located.
You’re welcome to use any app or system you prefer to track your mileage, but the miles you complete also need to be entered following these steps:
1. Once you've completed an activity, click the Results tab on our race website.
2. Select the "Submit Virtual Results" button at the top of the screen.
3. Search for yourself amongst the registered participants either by first and last name or by email address and date of birth
4. Once you've located yourself, select Submit Virtual Results
5. Enter in your time and distance then select Submit Activity.
The system will keep track of your progress and will also provide you with your activity timeline.
For additional information and alternate methods of submitting your results, view RunSignUp's tutorial.
There’s no need to download the RunSignUp app to track your results. The best way to log your miles in October is to manually add them on the race website. Their website makes it very easy and we recommended logging your results after each activity so you don’t forget! 😊
You will not be able to change your course after you’ve made your selection and completed registration.
Due to production times and to be able to accurately manage our t-shirt orders, you will not be able to change your t-shirt size after you’ve completed registration.
Race packages will be mailed out at the end of November. All participants will receive:
Participants who have successfully completed the challenge and have logged their 50 or 130 miles by Oct. 31, 2020 will also receive the 2020 Oʻahu Holoholo Challenge Finisher’s Medal.
Yes, you will need to submit your results to show that you’ve completed the challenge. Once you’ve completed the challenge, you’ll be given a medal.
1. Go to your Profile
2. Navigate to "Upcoming Events". Click "Manage Registration".
3. Click "Team" on the right-hand side of the menu bar
4. From the pop-up select "Join Existing Team". Either select an existing team from the dropdown or search a team and hit "Continue".
5. Once you found the team you want to join, hit "Update Team" and now you're part of a team!
Team members can select either virtual course. They do not need to all select the same course.
To complete the challenge, each participant must complete the virtual course they select (50- or 130-mile distances) individually. Mileage will not be collected cumulatively as a team.
For registrants who refer three or more people to qualify for the referral program, you'll receive your HawaiianMiles via an award letter within two weeks after registration closes. Please note that the award letter can be deposited into a HawaiianMiles account of your choosing.
You’re invited to make a donation through Oct. 31, 2020 by clicking here. Please note that donations are optional, but always appreciated!
