1. Where is the start and finish lines?
The start/finish area is on the Melton Lake Peninsula

2. What time does the race start? 
The half marathon begins at 9am and 5k at 9:30am.

3. Where should I park?
VIP Parking can be purchased during the registration process or on site to park in the lot. Free parking can be found along Melton Lake Dr. The VIP parking lot will close at 8:55am.

4. Where/when is packet pick up?
Packet pick up is on the Tuesday Nov 17th at Home2 Suites Knoxville and Thursday, Nov 19th at the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce. Both days are from 4-7pm. Race day pick up is available form 7:30-8:30 for out of town guests.

5. Are deferrals available?
Yes! Email halfmarathon@oakridgevisitor.com for more info.

6. Is there race day registration?
Yes!

7. Are there time limits?
4 hours for the half marathon, 2.5 hours for the 5k

8. Are there bathrooms/aid stations on the course?
Yes, aid/hydration stations and bathrooms are located about every 2 miles.

9. Are walkers allowed?
Yes!

10. Are strollers allowed?
Strollers are allowed for the 5k, but not the half.

11. Can someone pick up my packet for me?
Yes - please provide a copy (mobile or paper) of photo ID.

12. Where can I find race results and pictures?
Result and pictures will be posted within a week after the race - follow us on social media for updates!

13. Are masks required? 
Masks are required at packet pick up, in congested areas on the venue and in the start/finish area. Masks can be removed once crossing the start line. Participants also must receive a temperature check prior to entering the start/finish area.

14. I'm running virtually, what do I do?
Virtual participants may complete their run between Nov 14-28. Results may be uploaded by visiting secretcityhalfmarathon.com, click "results" and "submit virutal results." Virtual participants will receive their swag after November 28th.

15. How are age groups awards distributed?
For 2020, age group awards will not be offered on site. You will be contacted if you win an award. Participants in the area must pick up their awards in person. Out of town winners will receive their award via mail. There are no age awards for virtual participants.

16. Are spectators allowed?
For 2020, spectators are allowed everywhere but the start/finish area.

17. How will water stations and finish line food be handled? 
Water stations will be self serve for 2020 with water and gatorade available at every stop. Honey stinger gels will be available at stop 2, 4 and 5. Finish line food and medals will be prepackaged and participants will be allowed 1 container/person.

18. Are dogs allowed? Furry friends are not allowed for either race unless for medical reasons.
