We in the Community Wellness Project cultivate the health, resilience and well-being of students & families in Jefferson County, Washington. Working with school parents, staff, administrators, and school boards, we build strategic programs that address specific short-term wellness issues, as well as create long-term structural change. School Gardens - Growing health and wellness through teaching gardens from preschool through high school
Farm To School - Supporting schools in delivering nutrient-dense, scratch cooked, and locally grown foods in school cafeterias
Food Education/Food Truck - Building school-based enterprises; growing the next generation of entreprenuers
Little Free Pantries - A grassroots, crowdsourced solution to immediate and local need
FEED Jefferson County - Empowering and educating our students and families to be engaged with local food will help us stay well-nourished and resilient.
Neighbor Loaves - A national initiative by the Artisan Grain Collaborative, launched locally by Community Wellness Project to highlight the importance of resilient regional food systems, and to support area farmers, bakers, and eaters
